Methods of Committing and Concealment of Burglary
Abstract
Author made a conclusion that burglary which systematically made by the same persons for a long time differs from single criminal acts with higher level of social danger. They acquire serial style signs ad become a part of criminal activity. Supposed that exist a plenty methods of burgling which are divided into next groups: first group includes actions related to secret penetration of a person in home, that are accompanied by breaking barriers, namely by such ways: breaking front doors and its locking devices; bending a deadbolt and another locking devices; disabling (dissolution) lock mechanism by using a concentrated mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acid (the so-called «royal vodka») or another acids; drilling of the spring mechanism of the mortise cylinder lock; destroying elements of padlock, tearing and sawing its shackle etc.; cutting or pressing of windows, damaging shutters of window frame or balcony door; destroying elements of building including roof, ceil, floor, stove ant another obstacles. Another group includes plenty methods of secret penetration of a burglar in home by: selection or forgery a key for a door’s lock or by using a passkey for this goal; using of pre-stolen from owner key; detection and using key, hiden by owner in special place, known by family members; free passage through open for a short time by victim front doors, loggias, balconies, windows. Third group includes ways, in which burgling makes not in secret form, but with the consent of the victim. Main method of concealment of burgling is a selling of stolen thing that sometimes is more difficult issue than burgling.
