Abstract
The article defines backgrounds of the fundamentals of forensic knowledge, basing on the analysis of historical monuments of ancient law, cases of scientific knowledge usage in solving crimes in the early stages of law enforcement practices, a comprehensive analysis of forensic editions. The development of scientific knowledge, the emergence of specialized knowledge possessed by certain groups of people were described. It was established that ancient legal acts contained recommendations on the nature of forensic collection, research and evaluation of evidence by the court, but they had separate, fragmented nature and were related to the vows, fire and water test, mutilation, branding, and other ordeals. Backgrounds of the basics of forensic expertise were: provided by customary law and later by legal provisions an obligation to establish the actual circumstances of the offenses and to establish objective complexity of past events; development of legal acts that showed the likelihood of attracting people of different professions and those who possess scientific knowledge to establish the truth in investigated cases, carrying out certain procedural actions; practice of attracting people of different professions and those who possess scientific knowledge in solving conflicts and disputes over unlawful acts; dissatisfaction with the public on how to contact ordeals when there were no opportunities for genuine investigation and identifying the perpetrators, research and use of evidence. The existence of the general backgrounds of bases to use forensic knowledge in legal proceedings around the world was proved.Downloads
