Law enforcement informatization: the concept and nature

Abstract

Computerization is an absolute must – at the level of informatization certain countries the prospects for building an information society in it. Those countries in which the processes of informatization reached the highest level have achieved considerable success in the international arena and in improvement of the state welfare. Computerization has also become a global trend in law enforcement in the leading countries of the world. Thus, information law enforcement is seen as a type of general informatization of public life. In recent years dueto crime the quantitative growth of crime, criminals active migration, organized information has be come one of the main measures for the protection of rights and legal interests of citizens and legal entities in law enforcement. Relevance of the research processes of information law activity enforcement does not only stipulate theoretical but also practical needs for reforming of the law enforcement system in Ukraine. Research in the field of information in law enforcement is relatively new issue for both domestic and world science. In recent years, law enforcement informational were issues paid more attention in the scientific, educational and methodological literature. Thus, informatization is a set of interrelated processes provide relevant information and legal needs of law enforcement (conditions of formation and use of legal information in law enforcement) based on the creation, development and large-scale implementation of modern information and telecommunication systems and technologies to ensure effective implementation of the objectives of law enforcement. According another approach, informatization includes – activities to create environment for effective implementation of the objectives of law enforcement activies. Where a highly informative environment is a combination of modern information and telecommunication systems and technologies of information (collection, storage, storage, processing, transmission, use and development of new media), as well as organizational, legal, political, socio-economic, scientific-technical and production the conditions of implementation processes of such information. At the same time, based on any approach aimed informatization of Law Enforcement is to bring the whole system of law enforcement agencies with the needs and opportunities of the information society.
