Criminal Characteristics of Person Involved in Construction Crimes Committal

Abstract
Article examines criminal characteristics of person involved in construction crimes committal, provides relevant classification designed to apply the efficient methodology of investigating the abovementioned socially dangerous acts. Author has analyzed scientific approaches with due attention to materials of investigative and judiciary practice. Peculiarities of key criminal characteristics identifying the person involved in construction crimes committal along with its meaning are described. It is stressed that design of efficient tools and methods of construction crimes investigating stipulates complex research including the criminal’s profile. Author noted that criminal’s profiling is the key element of any investigation in the abovementioned category of criminal acts. It is grounded that in many cases crimes in construction sector are committed in the course of carrying out the professional tasks by the criminals (construction of a specific object). That is why criminal profiling is of the highest importance in terms of organizational and tactical aspects of investigation. It is proved that officials and other persons involved in construction crimes committal are well-informed about specifications of relevant procedures, processes and operations concerning different stages of construction – this information is used to create different criminal schemes resulting in illegal enrichment and expropriation of other material resources along with opportunity to hide any type of evidence revealing their guilt. Upon the completion of abovementioned research it was identified that design of efficient methodology for construction crimes investigation requires application of criminal’s profiling tool with use of the following criteria: connection to the construction object; connection to the construction process; criminal and legal status; intellectual level; exact moment of intention to form; qualitative and quantitative characteristics; type of employment; personal motivation; ways of committing the crime; age.Downloads
