Interdisciplinary and Philosophical Approaches to the Interpretation of the Concept of «Security»
Abstract
The article points to the complexity of the notion of security and the existence of a plurality of approaches to its interpretation, even within one of the research areas. The results of the analysis and systematization of scientific interpretations of the concept of «safety» are described, pluralism and multiplicity of its understanding are substantiated, scientistsʼ approaches to solving security problems in the context of the formation of its interdisciplinary concept are based on: 1) systematization of disciplinary understanding of safety, finding out the general and distinct of them, further developing the theory of safety (national safety theory, institutional safety theory); 2) studying the essence of safety, inherent in its philosophical comprehension (disclosure of the essence of safety through the nature of things, categories of existence or reflection, axiological approach); 3) adoption of the most widely used scientific and legislative understanding of safety; 4) formation and development of safety science as a social and humanitarian science, the main subject of research is safety in all aspects of its manifestation. The multifaceted philosophical knowledge of safety, the expediency of distinguishing the philosophical approach and the branch philosophical principles of the interpretation of safety is substantiated. A comparative analysis of the plurality of interpretations of the notion of safety in philosophical sciences is conducted, the ontological, epistemological, axiological and other aspects of the philosophical interpretation of this notion are singled out.
