The use of polygraphs in the work of Ukrainian criminal police

Abstract
The problems of polygraph use are considered dueto search activity of law enporcement of Ukraine, bodies during investigation. The author of the article emphasizes that improved methods of operational activities conducting are of great importance, hence the importance and relevance of the use of technical devices (polygraph) provides operational support during investigation of crimes committed primarily against life and health. Significant changes occurring in the structure, dynamics, trends in crime modifications and the emergence of new types of crimes, methods of committal, require employees of operative units to update techniques to combat crime – one of the update forms is to use special knowledge in the field of psychological psychophysiological science and technology. Operative units under the laws of Ukraine conduct all the necessary search operations during the detection of crimes, but the legislator does are not provide full list. Classification search operations considered only in terms of respect and protection of human rights in the operational activities in the context of the requirements of the XXI century. Article 28 of the Constitution of Ukraine defines conducting a survey using the polygraph and its legitimate use during any investigative operations when there is a need to survey the person (witness, victim, etc.). The use of instrumental detection based on polygraph in work of the police during the inspection of persons involved in the crime, showed high effectiveness of using this hardware and software of the device and confirmed the need for further implementation of inspections in the physiological activity of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine.Downloads
