Crime Scene Examination during the Investigation of Thefrs Committed by Minors

Abstract
In the article the author described the organizational and tactical features of crime scene examination during the investigation of thefts committed by minors. The flaws of such crime scene examination include incomplete description of the situation of the scene; not taking photos, video; lack of consistency in describing the circumstances of the event; lack of measurements; incomplete and inaccurate descriptions of the revealed traces on the crime scene; not taken revealed traces of fingers and shoes; untimely crime scene examination; lack of specialists. The author also considered stages of the crime scene examination during the investigation of thefts committed by minors: preparatory; direct holding, fixing and procedure formalization of the process of investigative act; evaluation of the results. The signs, which show that the theft was committed by minors include: lack of planning and purposefulness in actions; small sizes of fingerprints, traces of feet and footwear; usage of small holes to penetrate into the room; teeth traces on sweets; theft of items which have small sizes and weight; theft of less expensive, but brighter objects; left personal belongings of appropriate size; certain changes in the scene; etc. It is concluded that high level of cooperation between members of the investigative team, especially between investigative and operational staff helps a lot to obtain quickly information about the circumstances of the committed theft and probable criminals.Downloads
