The Main Forms of Public Activity in Direct Democracy
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of involving people to the process of discussion and acceptation of state decisions which leads to the realization of the constitutional principle of democracy in Ukraine. Direct democracy in this context is not only democracy governance but also ability for people to participate in management of government. Also an important role in this process is played by publicity, political education, control over the state, cooperation between people and state power. People give special consideration to self-education, scientific progress, knowledge of political situation in country. Without including civil society to the process of formatting the rule of law state, complex problems facing the country cannot be solved. The ability of people to be the bearer of sovereignty and the only source of power in Ukraine leads to the development of the Ukrainian state, updating and further development of the institutions of power. People have exclusive right to determine and change the constitutional order. This right cannot be usurped by the state, its organs or executives. Constituent, lawmaking activity and constant people control should be an integral element of the implementation mechanism of the government in a democratic state. That is why the analysis of these forms of activity connected with people power in governing is actual for research of legal nature of direct democracy. The value basis of realization the state power based on democracy, provides mutual recognition and interaction of interests in society for conservation and development for general weal and the good of every person.
