Features of Professional Culture of a Legal Adviser

Abstract
The article studies features of professional culture of a legal adviser, substantiated by specific areas of his/her professional activity. The category of professional culture is considered in the light of the general and legal culture. Basing on the ratio of these concepts, the main features of the professional culture are highlighted. The main attention is paid to the characteristics of the theoretical model of professional culture, to selecting its structural elements, namely: legal knowledge, legal ethics, moral qualities, aesthetics of speech and appearance, political and economic knowledge, behavioural psychology and data keeping. The inner structure of the professional culture of a legal adviser is analysed, its components are given, characteristics and specific features of each component are determined. The importance of the content of the legal culture as the main component of professional culture is emphasized, in which the features of professional culture of a legal adviser are manifested. The features of judges and investigators’ legal culture content are determined, that confirms the statement concerning legal culture content depending on the nature of the profession. The overall culture level of society is characterised and the conclusion concerning the existence of factors of lawyers’ professional culture deformation is made. The sense of deformation as a negative legal phenomenon is revealed, the causes of professional deformation are described, external and internal factors of lawyers’ professional consciousness formation are identified. The ways to improve the professional culture and consciousness of members of the legal profession are formulated. Corresponding conclusions about the features of professional culture of a legal adviser caused by specific areas of his/her activity and the sphere of legal regulation are made. The conclusion that the main form of raising the level of professional culture development should be considered in legal education and legal practice is made.Downloads
