The aim of the scientific journal «Nauka i pravoohorona» is to present the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of law enforcement, as well as issues related to legal regulation and reform of the law enforcement system in the context of contemporary security challenges.

Main tasks:

publishing the results of scientific research on trends in law enforcement and innovative solutions in the legal field, in accordance with international standards of publication ethics;

promoting the development of science in Ukraine by fostering an open information environment for professional collaboration between experienced theorists and young scholars, ensuring unimpeded access to scholarly materials, and strictly adhering to the principles of academic integrity;

creating conditions for the publication of discussion materials by implementing an objective, independent peer-review process and providing authors with expert recommendations on how to improve the conceptual and stylistic aspects of their manuscripts;

promoting the application of research findings in the practical work of law enforcement agencies, judicial bodies, educational institutions with specialized programs, and other organizations;

the development of creative collaboration and the integration of Ukrainian scientific research in the field of law into the global academic community by inviting leading researchers from academic and educational institutions in Ukraine and around the world to contribute to publications.

The journal focuses on the scientific understanding of the fundamental principles of law enforcement, the development of academic recommendations for improving the legal framework of law enforcement, the transformation of law enforcement agencies in the context of European integration, combating crime, human rights under martial law, professional and ethical standards for law enforcement officers, international cooperation, training and professional development, and anti-corruption and gender policies in the law enforcement sector.
