Publication ethics
The scientific journal adheres to high standards of academic integrity and is guided by ethical principles recommended by international organisations in the field of scientific publications, in particular the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The editorial board is guided by the belief that adherence to publication ethics is an important aspect of editorial work and the review process. Preventing inappropriate practices such as fraud, plagiarism and other similar forms is the responsibility of every author, editor, reviewer, publisher and institution involved in the publication process. Our goal is to ensure transparency, accountability, and quality in scientific communication.
The journal has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. Detection of dishonest practices is carried out using appropriate software.
Equal access is provided to all authors regardless of their place of work, title, country, or academic degree. The priority is scientific novelty, practical significance, and quality of research.
The editorial board does not interfere with the content of the authors' scientific conclusions.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional interests that may affect the impartiality of the results or the review process.
Editorial policy
The editorial board reserves the right to shorten and slightly edit articles while preserving the main conclusions and author's style. The identity of reviewers of each individual article cannot be disclosed to the author or a third party under any circumstances. Materials submitted by authors for publication in the journal may not be published in other periodicals or conference proceedings. The author is fully responsible for the originality of the article and the absence of plagiarism. The ideas expressed in the articles may not coincide with the opinion of the editorial board of the journal.
The editorial board reserves the right not to accept for publication articles that do not meet the established requirements, do not correspond to the subject matter of the journal, contain a significant number of grammatical and stylistic errors, or for other reasons, due to which the editorial board has the right to refuse to publish the article without explaining the reasons for such a decision.
All visitors to the journal's website are given free access to the full-text materials published in the journal. This provides authors with the opportunity to submit the results of their own research for consideration by the scientific community.
Published articles are also posted in the Electronic Repository of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, on the website of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, and the metadata of these articles is included in international scientometric databases, which contributes to their citation and popularisation.
The editorial board is guided by the principle that adherence to ethical standards in publishing is an important aspect of editorial work and the review process. Preventing inappropriate practices such as fraud, plagiarism and other similar forms is the responsibility of every author, editor, reviewer, publisher and institution involved in the publishing process.
The author must be aware of their responsibility for the novelty and reliability of the results of scientific research, adhering to the following principles:
to provide reliable results of the research conducted, without using false or falsified data;
to ensure that the research results presented in the manuscript are completely original. The author must provide references to the original source in the text of the article for any data, facts, or evidence used. Quotations must be properly formatted. It is essential to highlight the contributions of other scientists to the research topic and refer to their publications;
do not submit to the editorial office a manuscript that has been sent to another journal, is under consideration, or has already been published in another publication.
The texts of articles, tables, graphic material, and formulas are protected by copyright law.
The editorial board of the journal strongly condemns plagiarism in articles as a violation of copyright and scientific ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent it. In cases of plagiarism, the authors of the submitted materials are held responsible.
The author of the article is responsible for the accuracy of facts, quotations, proper names, geographical names, names of enterprises, organisations, institutions and other information. The opinions expressed in published articles may not coincide with the position of the editorial board and do not impose any obligations on it.
Research ethics
Any research involving humans, animals or their biological materials, personal or confidential data is subject to the relevant legislation of Ukraine, must be approved by the ethics committee of the relevant institution and requires a mandatory conclusion. Authors are required to confirm the voluntary participation of respondents, their informed consent, the guarantee of anonymity and the protection of personal data. Examples of international standards: Code of Ethics of the American Sociological Association (1997), ICC/ESOMAR (2025), European Commission recommendations on ethics and data protection (2021), etc.
Use of copyrighted material
Materials submitted by authors are considered original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in other publications. Therefore, by submitting an article, the author explicitly states that: the submitted article has not been published and is not under consideration for publication in another journal; all authors are familiar with and agree with its content; the author transfers the rights to publish to the journal.
Discussions of publications from readers are accepted in letters to the editor. When the situation requires it, the editor will publish criticism of any work published in the journal, allowing the authors to express their arguments. This takes place in letters from authors addressed to the editor.
The inclusion of new authors is not permitted if the article has already been accepted for publication or published on the journal's website.
The journal's policy complies with the ICMJE requirements for authorship: only a person who has made a significant contribution to the concept, collection and analysis of data, writing or editing of the text can be an author.
Authors retain the right to authorship of their work immediately after publication and retain this right indefinitely without any restrictions. The date of commencement of copyright for an article corresponds to the date of publication of the issue in which it is included.
Participants without scientific contribution (proofreaders, technical staff, persons who provided financial support for the research) are listed in the ‘Acknowledgements’ section.
All personal data of authors, reviewers and research participants are processed in accordance with COPE ethical standards and the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Protection of Personal Data’.
Authors transfer to the journal the right of first publication of their manuscript under the terms of the Creative Commons license (Attribution – Non-Commercial Use) 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
Published original articles may not be used by users (except authors) for commercial purposes or distributed by third-party intermediary organisations on a paid basis.
Reuse of materials is possible only with reference to the authors and the journal.
Authors retain the right to authorship of their work and transfer to the journal the right of first publication of this work under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to freely distribute the published work with a mandatory reference to the authors of the original work and the first publication of the article in this journal.
Authors have the right to enter into independent additional agreements regarding the non-exclusive distribution of the work in the form in which it was published in the journal (for example, to place the article in an institutional repository or publish it as part of a monograph), provided that a reference to the first publication of the work in this journal is retained.
The journal's policy allows and encourages authors to post (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) both before submitting the manuscript to the editorial office and during its editorial processing, as this promotes productive scientific discussion and has a positive effect on the speed and dynamics of citation of the published work.

All manuscripts are considered confidential documents. Information about the authors and the content of the article is not disclosed to third parties, except those directly involved in the review and editing process.
The names and contact details provided by users of this journal's website will be used exclusively for the journal's internal technical tasks; they will not be distributed or transferred to third parties.
