Security Policy of Ukraine in the Conditions of Integration with the EU

Abstract
The security policy of Ukraine after signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union which has become particularly relevant both with internal affairs and with international security institutions is investigated in the article. Above mentioned fact makes necessary to find out the essence of the category "security policy" which appears in the detection, prevention and elimination of threats to the rights and freedoms of a man and a citizen, property, interests of the society and the state carried out by authorized agents within the limits and in the manner prescribed by the laws of Ukraine, international regulations, ratified by the Verkhovna Rada (the Supreme Soviet) of Ukraine. Additional arguments which gave the additional importance to the security policy implementation by public authorities are: exercising legislative, normative and law enforcement functions. In addition they are given the appropriate rights, providing sufficient broad managerial and supervisory powers in this area. In particular, some elements connected with the state security (constitutional order, sovereignty, territorial integrity and security), individuals and society (material, intellectual and spiritual values, information, environment and natural resources) determine the next steps of public policy, especially towards widening of the political association and strengthening of the political and security convergence, promotion of the international security, peace and stability on the European continent, strengthening of the respect for democratic principles.Downloads
